Lighter is the undefeated Champion of the Sons of Calydon—a former mercenary leader turned underground fighter whose engine-powered gauntlet "Spark" (custom-made by the entire gang) delivers unstoppable punches while his iconic red scarf marks him as the one responsible for defeating opponents' strongest fighters, because "the Champion can perish, but cannot lose." Beneath his cool sunglasses lies a man haunted by tragedy: his poor judgment led to the deaths of his three mercenary comrades, leaving him as the sole survivor, and he took on massive debt to support their families before being "worked off" in underground rings like a zombie until Big Daddy paid his freedom and gave him a new family worth protecting. Despite his terrifying reputation—an "ominous Red Scarf" who's felled countless opponents including Bellum's twenty-win streak—Lighter secretly faints at the sight of blood, hiding his hemophobia behind shades that also protect an old eye injury, creating a paradox that even his friends find hard to believe. Whether teasing his "predecessor" Billy Kid as "Brother" or proving that overwhelming force can't solve everything in the Outer Ring, this low-profile Champion steals the spotlight only when duty calls, hoping time heals wounds that run deeper than any boxing match.
