Character Description
Trigger is the nearly blind sniper of Obol Squad whose eyes were corrupted during the fall of the old capital, granting her a unique "Ether Vision" that allows her to perceive Ether fluctuations of living beings, Ethereals, and objects within Hollows—compensating for 90% vision loss with heightened senses honed to perceive subtle environmental changes, making her an unparalleled assassin capable of stealth, surveillance, and long-range precision despite her disability. Originally a shy soldier named Phlegethon in Lyre Squad, she was renamed Trigger by her captain Charon, who along with her squadmates became her found family over two and a half years, gifting her a custom sniper rifle (which now bears her original codename) and a harmonica melody called "Homecoming" recorded in a message she'd never hear until after witnessing them all die or corrupt while protecting her during Hollow Zero's expansion—their final act being to save her by having a retreating soldier drag her unconscious body from the nightmare. Now she wears a mask with emotion-indicator lights, plays harmonica melodies that terrify soldiers mistaking them for ghosts, engages in cutthroat competition with Yanagi over red bean bun sales, and orchestrates elaborate "random" encounters to check on Phaethon (showing up with ice packs for sprained ankles and diagnosing fevers without thermometers), all while carrying the weight of a promise to find the true culprits behind Eridu's fall—proving that even snipers who've lost everything can find new reasons to protect, one carefully aimed bullet (and bun) at a time.
